Creating an iSCSI-Bootable

System

In this Chapter...

Now that you have installed the adapter in the computer and

connected the Ethernet cables, you are ready to install your

operating system and iSCSI driver so that the system boots from an

iSCSI target.

Before you begin, you need to know the following facts about your

network:

■ Target IP address (for at least the bootable target)

■ Initiator iSCSI name (if different from the default), IP address,

and subnet mask

In addition, you need to verify that the targets are configured to

recognize the initiator iSCSI name.
